These educators are the unspoken heroes of Armenia’s villages and towns. Often working with limited resources, multi-grade classrooms, and high community needs, they remain deeply committed to their students and to the future of their communities. Long before Teach For Armenia arrives, they are already doing the work of keeping schools open, children learning, and hope alive.
We do not enter schools as outsiders with answers. We enter as allies.
Our partnerships are built on mutual respect and shared responsibility. Principals and veteran teachers collaborate closely with our Teacher-Leaders - mentoring them, integrating them into school culture, and co-creating stronger learning environments. Together, they raise academic expectations, strengthen school-wide practices, and reimagine what public education can look like even in the most under-resourced settings.
These partnerships are essential to lasting change. Schools do not improve because of programs alone - they improve because committed educators work side by side, trust one another, and stay when it’s hard. Our school partners are not recipients of support; they are co-architects of transformation.
