TEACH FOR ARMENIA AND ZANGAK PUBLISHING HOUSE HAVE UNITED THEIR EFFORTS TO UNLEASH THE POTENTIAL OF COMMUNITIES.
In a concerted effort aimed at improving the educational landscape within communities, **Teach For Armenia** and **Zangak Publishing House** have forged a partnership to promote reading in primary schools, including No. 8 in Abovyan, No. 1 in Vagharshapat, and No. 3 in Masis. These schools were specifically selected as part of the initiative to support Teach For Armenia’s emergency response, targeting schools with a significant number of forcibly displaced students from Artsakh.
The primary objectives of this initiative, supported by Zangak Publishing House, include the integration of various social strata within communities, fostering a culture of reading among students, and encouraging discussions about books. A series of meetings, organized into three stages, were held in the aforementioned schools, providing students, teachers, and parents with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with a selection of 100 books donated by Zangak Publishing House.
These meetings, held in a unique format, promote community engagement and open dialogue on a wide range of topics presented in the books, such as love, compassion, and caring for animals. Each meeting built upon the previous one, deepening participants' understanding, engagement, and interest in literature. Additionally, the final meeting included teamwork focused on a pre-selected book, allowing participants to present the book in the best possible way.
We express our sincere gratitude to Zangak Publishing House for initiating and implementing this program. By combining reading with community involvement, it not only fosters a love for reading among students but also strengthens their connection with the community, showcasing once again the transformative power of education.
