Can you hear the sound of the breeze rustling through the leaves and the sweet scent of freshly cut grass? For the students of Hatis village in the Kotayk Region, this is no longer just a daydream. Thanks to Teach For Armenia and EasyPay, it has become their daily classroom setting.
Representatives from Teach For Armenia and EasyPay visited Hatis village to meet Marine Manjikyan, a Teach For Armenia Teacher-Leader, and see the community project she brought to life with support from EasyPay. Marine's brilliant idea: creating an outdoor classroom in the schoolyard, born from a Student-Led Innovation Project and fully funded by EasyPay as the Nation-Builder school sponsor.

“We spend a lot of time sitting outside in our grassy schoolyard. My students had the idea to build an outdoor classroom where we could conduct lessons and do group work. This became the focus of their Student-Led Innovation Project. Thanks to EasyPay, our Nation-Builder school sponsor, the outdoor classroom was funded completely. My students and I are very grateful for their support.”
Teach For Armenia Teacher-Leader at Hatis Secondary School
Students in Hatis village shared their wish for an outdoor learning space where they could hold lessons surrounded by nature.
Teacher-Leader Marine Manjikyan helped students turn their idea into a structured project proposal as part of Teach For Armenia's innovation program.
As the Nation-Builder school sponsor of Hatis Secondary School, EasyPay provided full funding for the outdoor classroom construction.
The outdoor classroom was built in the schoolyard, giving students a dedicated space for lessons, group work, and creative projects in the open air.
During the visit, guests and the school principal discussed the importance of the project. After touring the school, a special lecture was conducted on kindness and heroes, where students learned the value of good deeds and appreciated EasyPay's contribution to building their new outdoor classroom.
“Our recent visit to Hatis Secondary School was a success! The students shared a wealth of knowledge and insights with us. Although our contribution may be modest, we are grateful for the chance to positively impact the lives of students as Teach For Armenia Nation-Builders. We look forward to further opportunities to make a difference.”
